Randall E. Rounkles is currently the Chief Engineer for Aerospace for JR Automation based in Holland Michigan, USA. Responsibilities include defining and understanding Aerospace specifications and requirements to ensure automation meets industry standards. In addition Randy supports JR Automations strategic initiatives in the Aerospace sector.
Prior to joining JR Automation in July 2019, Mr. Rounkles spent 33 years in the aerospace industry in Wichita Kansas working for both Boeing and Spirit Aerosystems. He started in 1987 with the Boeing company as a sheet metal mechanic building the Boeing 737. He moved into Automated Fastening department in 1995 when the facility received its first Automated Fastening machines. From there Mr. Rounkles progressed into management positions including Shop Floor Manager, Program management, to finish his career at Spirit Aerosystems as Senior Operations Leader for the Advanced Manufacturing division.
