Jeff Burdick has been working in metal additive manufacturing research since 2015. He is currently an Additive Manufacturing Engineer in the United States Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center Materials Directorate. Jeff's prior work includes material development for laser powder bed fusion, in-process monitoring and analysis of laser powder bed fusion, toolpath development for laser powder directed energy deposition, and process development for Additive Friction Stir Deposition. Jeff is currently working on additive process qualification for ground vehicle applications and characterizing the relationship between additive toolpaths and material performance. Jeff completed his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Southern Illinois University in 2014. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Welding Engineering at Ohio State University.
