Cold Spray Project Manager
As the NAVSEA Cold Spray Project Manager, Jeff manages the development and fielding of Cold Spray technology for the NAVSEA organic and defense industrial base. Mr. Campbell’s portfolio also includes management of the new Cold Spray as a service model, which serves as a template for broader technology transition. Jeff brings 24 years’ experience with the Navy including service time as a Submarine Auxiliary man and Repair Shop Outside Machinist. He utilized his Six Sigma Black Belt certification at TRF Bangor to improve inside shop repair Product Lines performance by more than 50% and was the Mechanical Branch Innovation Project lead. Jeff sparked NAVSEA’s interest in Cold Spray, beginning in 2011 at the Defense Manufacturing Conference (DMC) where he identified the value of Cold Spray for ship repair. Jeff then created a partnership via the Navy MANTECH program and PSU/ARL that started the NAVSEA Cold Spray journey. He has been managing the NAVSEA Cold Spray efforts fully since in 2019 and was recently recognized with the Defense Manufacturing Achievement Award for his efforts as part of the team fielding the Hatchable Cold Spray Technology for Naval Shipyards and Marine Corps Depots.
In his spare time Jeff enjoys traveling, home improvement and is a Board member for a Faith based nonprofit doing community development and Evangelism in West Africa.
