Dmitri Novikov

Dr. Novikov is the Director of business development at IPG Photonics in the field of laser cleaning and laser ablation. He is responsible for system engineering, process development and modeling, training, and sales. Before that, Dmitri was a Technical Fellow at Pratt & Whitney, where he led the development of new and emerging manufacturing processes, laser-based machining, coating, cleaning, and additive manufacturing. In addition, he was involved in activities aimed at developing and applying materials and process modeling and simulation capabilities. Dr. Novikov published over 140 scientific papers in refereed journals and authored 36 patents.
