David Champa is the Business Development Manager for Composites and Additive Manufacturing at Ingersoll Machine Tools. Dave works the Ingersoll team to continue to innovate the existing composite AFP/ATL automated equipment while Ingersoll introduces new additive manufacturing machines and tooling processes.
Dave has a history of supply chain management, business development and operations, and has been focused on the automation of manufacturing processes such as automated drilling, composite lamination, friction stir welding and automated fastening.
He has held management positions at Ford Aerospace, McDonnell Douglas, Boeing, M Torres, and then consulting for AIP/Ascent Aerospace, which have allowed him to participate in most major aerospace and defense programs and many commercial programs over the last three decades.
Dave is a graduate of the University of Phoenix for Business Management and the University of California – Irvine for Project Management; he continues to learn through industry conferences and meetings.
Dave is a resident of Southern California and is married with two children. He enjoys outdoor activities, especially the beach, and has a passion for fictional writing.
