Craig Neslen is the manufacturing lead for the Low Cost Attritable Aircraft Technology (LCAAT) Initiative at the Propulsion, Structures and Manufacturing Enterprise Branch, Manufacturing and Industrial Technologies Division, Materials and Manufacturing Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton OH. Craig leads the strategic planning and execution of all structures manufacturing centric activities related to the LCAAT Initiative which includes contract management and in-house research efforts. Craig works closely with design and structural test personnel from the Aerospace Systems Directorate to jointly plan, sponsor and execute contract programs and in-house research. Craig also serves as the acting Low Cost Attritable Systems lead which encompasses low cost propulsion, sensors and space systems. Previous to his current assignment, Craig served as the Structures Team Lead in AF ManTech where he functioned as a first line supervisor of 6-8 personnel and supported the Advanced Manufacturing Propulsion Initiative (AMPI) program in the area of small hole drilling of critical turbine engine components.
