The combination of AI and robotics has led to the groundbreaking innovation known as roboforming - dieless, robotic sheet-metal forming. Roboforming technology is enabling aerospace and defense manufacturers to unlock speed and agility by automating manual, inconsistent processes associated with a multitude of applications from hypersonics to light-weight, composite structures. Using material- and geometry-agnostic technology, roboforming outperforms traditional sheet metal methods that rely on custom, costly tooling. Dieless robotic sheet-forming process can reduce the time to produce a part, eliminating the cost of designing and manufacturing molds and dies. Roboforming also enables optimized designs that were not previously manufacturable. This allows manufacturers and end customers to realize higher performance, lighter weight, and more efficient products using high performance materials such as titanium, Inconel, and others required for hypersonic applications.
