This presentation will discuss and define real-time, near-real-time, and predictive improvement methods. We will discuss how real-time improvement analytics tools both are built on the foundation of Lean Six Sigma but also disrupt traditional approaches to continuous improvement. We provide the foundational framework for an Artificial Intelligence Enabled Kaizen, the disruptive nature of the advantages and some of the critical deficiencies and roadblocks to their effectiveness. Can an AI tool perform a Kaizen event in real-time instead of pulling workers offline for training, process analysis, and improvement? How will real-time process monitoring & improvement systems in discrete production environments and mixed production environments deliver real-time factory tweaks and redesigns that predict and even preclude production slowdowns from unexpected constraints. This will be a fun and informative discussion of real-life implementations that use Real-Time Improvement and discuss how this redefines the future of LSS.
