The newest program in the UL and Tooling U-SME additive manufacturing certification program expands beyond the fundamentals and focuses on the principles and processes of the AM Technician.
The AM Technician Certification is ideal for a candidate with a two-year associates degree in additive manufacturing or currently enrolled in a college program, and/or has one or more years of working experience in a manufacturing related field.
The prep course covers key roles and responsibilities for an AM technician, the AM process chain, design for AM, material and process selection, secondary processes, and key safety considerations.
The certification exam is a three-hour proctored, open-book and open-note exam consisting of 120 multiple choice questions.
DEADLINE EXTENDED: Must register by Monday, April 22, 2019 to sit for the course and/or exam.

Participants sitting for the exam should be familiar with the Additive Manufacturing Body of Knowledge and may wish to purchase and read some of the recommended reading materials in preparation for the exam. These materials can also be used by participants during the exam.
