American Defense Contractor Working to Modernize Allies' Military Aircraft Fleets

Lockheed Martin is a well-known defense contractor for the United States Department of Defense, and due to a new agreement will also now work with an American ally. Recently the Polish Ministry of National Defence agreed on a deal with the U.S. government to modernize its fleet of F-16 Block 52+ aircraft.

The contract will see Lockheed Martin upgrading Poland's fleet of 48 aircraft to the advanced F-16 Viper configuration. This will help Poland bolster its air force and be prepared to align with NATO missions.

Improvements include an updated mission computer, new displays, structural modifications to extend service life, and warfare enchantments, among others. With these upgrades, Poland's fleet will now have advanced airpower capabilities and be interoperable with new platforms.
